Welcome to my page about the aquarIBM, a fishtank constructed inside the shell of an IBM Personal System/2 Model 25SX.
I had toyed with the idea of making a computer/fishtank for some time when I received a few of the PS/2 Model 25s that were being replaced by the high school I had attended. These machines were manufactured in July of 1992 and were equipped with 20MHz 386-SX CPUs, 5MB RAM, and 80MB hard drives...high tech stuff! One of them didn't work, and I decided that I would get more enjoyment out of a building a cool aquarium rather than trying to fix an old PC that I have several more of. Thus the aquarIBM project was born.
